Rio Exclusive Imobiliaria LTDA was created at the beginning of 2007 by Juliana Guzman and Arnaud Bughon. We began by renting temporary accommodations to visitors to Rio de Janeiro, as an alternative to staying in a hotel. After several months, we decided to focus our attention on the high end market - which at the time was totally non-existent. Since then, we have expanded to offer accommodations in many of the most exclusive parts of Rio de Janeiro, a concierge service that can assist you at any time before or during your holiday, and a travel agency which opens the doorway to the rest of Brazil and South America. To do all this, we have brought in a great international and multi-lingual staff from a diversity of backgrounds, in order to meet all your needs.

Juliana Guzman Founder Juliana Guzman is one of the founders of Rio Exclusive. She started this company in 2007 and has built it into the number one luxury accommodation rental company in Rio de Janeiro. Born in Bogota, Colombia Juliana has lived in England, France, Spain and Brazil, now her home. She graduated with a degree in Financial Administration, as well as studying economics and International Relations in London. Along with Juliana's international education and experiences, contacts and business background, she also brings enthusiasm, creativity and ambition to Rio Exclusive. She is fluent in Spanish, English, and Portuguese and conversational in French. Her focus is on running day to day operations of Rio Exclusive, as well as buying and selling of luxury real estate in Copacabana, Ipanema, Arpoador and neighborhoods beyond. She has invaluable and exclusive contacts throughout Rio, Brazil, South America and Europe - which enables her to gain access to the most elite properties in Rio. Juliana understands that buying or selling a property in Rio, whether as a home or investment, is one of the most important and significant events in a person's life. Because of this, she always puts her guests' priorities and needs number one.

Arnaud Bughon Founder Arnaud Bughon is co-founder of Rio Exclusive, as he started the company with Juliana Guzman in 2007. Creating a company that focused on the luxury rental market became the focus of Arnaud's work, and today Rio Exclusive stands as the premier luxury property rental company in Rio.  He is originally from Paris, France and speaks French, English and Portuguese all fluently. In Paris Arnaud graduated with a degree in Economatrics from La Sorbonne and worked in investment banking. He’s also lived in Geneva, Switzerland when he worked for the WTO – World Trade Organization. He first came to Brazil in 2000 and visited every few months until he moved to Rio de Janeiro in 2005. Throughout these years Arnaud noticed a significant lack of luxury property rentals in Rio de Janeiro, and so with this in mind he co-founded Rio Exclusive. Arnaud’s goal is to keep developing the luxury market in Rio, to offer something different that no other company in Rio de Janeiro can offer. He strives to offer our guests the very highest quality in luxury and service for their stay in Rio, by maintaining excellent relationships with our property owners, and constantly and tirelessly working to cultivate new relationships and bring aboard the best and newest luxury properties in Rio de Janeiro.

Selva Bari Selva joined Rio Exclusive in October 2008 and is one of our sales executives. She is also involved in expanding our luxury rental business to other beautiful areas outside of Rio de Janeiro. She brings enthusiasm and drive to the team, and is always focused on making sure every guest of hers finds the property they are looking for.  She was born in Aachen, Germany and has also lived in the USA, United Kingdom, Madrid, and Holland where she attended the University of Maastricht and graduated with a degree in International Business Economics.  During her studies there she participated in a study exchange program which first brought her to Brazil - to Sao Paulo. Since then she has made Brazil her home, and works primarily with guests from France, Germany and Brazil, but is also fluent in English and Turkish, as well as being conversational in Spanish and Dutch .

Carlos Arroyave Carlos has been with Rio Exclusive since the inception of the company, and has greatly helped the company grow and become the elite luxury property rental company in Rio today.  He has studied Travel and Tourism at university, and has traveled and lived throughout all of South America.  During his time living outside of Brazil, Carlos has gained invaluable hospitality industry experience. Carlos speaks Spanish and Portuguese fluently, and is our staff member who will be meeting you at your apartment for your check-in if you're one of our Spanish speaking guests.  If you need any help with your stay in Rio - whether it's arranging services or tours, Carlos is always on hand to lend his guidance and experience to make sure your stay in Rio is everything you want it to be.

Jessika Almeida Jessika has been managing people and businesses for the past 10 years.  She has been living in England until recently where she had a diversity of jobs - from opening a night club in Knightsbridge, to managing award winning bars in Chelsea to being an Event Coordinator.  As her main concern is customer service, she knows how to meet the expectations of people who demand the highest standards.  Jessika brought structure and her organizational skills to Rio exclusive, and she understands the importance of being proactive and professional at all times. She has complimented her work with different managing courses throughout the years.  Interacting with people from a variety of backgrounds and nationalities, as well as learning languages, makes Jessika a natural choice to manage the Rio Exclusive team. She is aware that everyone has different mentalities and priorities, which makes her leadership with Rio Exclusive especially strong.  She was invited to joined the team in July 2009 and is currently developing all the concierge and custom services. Jesika speaks Italian, English as well as her natural language of Spanish - which makes her our first contact for all Italian and Spanish speaking guests.

Mike Rollins Mike was born in Toronto, Canada and is of British decent. He graduated with an honours degree in Business Administration majoring in Finance from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Canada. He has been with our team since July 2008 and has been involved in the continued growth of Rio Exclusive in the luxury accommodation rental market. Along with living in Canada, Mike has also lived in England and now Brazil. He has traveled throughout the world to more than 30 countries and brings with him dedication and enthusiasm for accommodating every guest he has. Mike is one of our sales executives and is the main point of contact for English speaking guests. He strives to make sure every one of his guest experiences is memorable and wants to be sure that your stay in Rio de Janeiro is unforgettable.

Laura Vera Moreno Laura Vera joined Rio Exclusive and Holidays In Rio at the beginning of 2009. Their willingness and dedication to the enrichment of her career and her life has enabled her to grow and acquire new challenges both personally and professionally. Laura has great interpersonal relationship skills and has the ability to work both as part of a team and indvidually. All of these characteristics make Laura invaluable as our Office Manager - these tools are essential for excellent job performance, as among Laura's many functions is the requirement to skillfully adapt to all situations and to interact with guests, owners, Brazilian and foreign companies, staff members and travel agencies. Laura has a degree in engineering and speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
