June Bonfire Festivals - Date: June 13th, 24th and 29th
June bonfire festivals are among the most appealing aspects of Brazilian folklore. Rio de Janeiro City Marathon - Date: July 18th , 2010
The Rio de Janeiro City Marathon shall be run on July 18, according to the estimates of its organization, it shall gather 18 thousand lovers of street running in the beautiful shores of Rio de Janeiro.
It has been chosen as the most admired marathon in Brazil in 2009 by the readers of Revista O2 magazine – specialized in running – the competition, with 42km, shall start at 7:30am at Recreio dos Bandeirantes and shall go through the city’s paradisiacal scenery of mountains and sea. The competition, once more, shall be divided into three segments: Marathon (42km), Half-Marathon (21km) and Family Run (6km).
